THE ICKLE PICKLE PARTNERSHIP LTD
London, EnglandIckle Pickles is the only charity that aims to help hospitals raise money to buy essential equipment for premature babies nationally. There are a staggering 80,000 babies born prematurely in the UK every year. Many of them require Intensive or Special care in a Neonatal Unit (NNU) – we call these babies Ickle Pickles. An Ickle Pickle can be a full term baby requiring treatment; surgery or more likely a baby born prematurely (before 37 weeks). Babies born before 27 weeks are classed as extremely premature and it is these tiniest babies who need the most help. Since 2009, the Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity has raised over £1.8 million and purchased (at the time of writing) over 350 pieces of essential intensive and care equipment that treats these babies and helps to keep them alive. Our Vision: The Ickle Pickles offers a unique opportunity to help vulnerable babies at a crucial time in their lives. Our long-term plan is to become the charity partner for 150 neonatal units and services to donate vital equipment to every neonatal unit in England & Wales. As a small team of 2 full-time and 1 part-time staff this is an ambitious vision, but with the help and support of supportive families and corporates the target could certainly be more achievable. Our Mission: We strive to give every vulnerable newborn a chance, delivering tangible support and benefits for parents, neonatal units and communities.
Since 2009, the Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity has been raising money for the intensive care equipment that treats sick and premature babies to help keep them alive.
