About the Charities

Maggie's believe that nobody should face cancer alone. They provide free financial, psychological and practical support to anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis, online and at their 24 centres across the UK.

In 2023, Maggie’s had over 310,000 centre visits but with the number of people living with cancer in the UK set to rise to 4 million by 2030, the need for Maggie’s is greater than ever. This need has only been exacerbated by the cost-of-living crisis, with 1 in 2 people with cancer considering stopping treatment early because of money worries. By supporting Maggie’s, you can help ensure anyone dealing with cancer receives the support they need. https://www.maggies.org/

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity. It is the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe. They rescue surplus food from over 539 suppliers, including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms and restaurants that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste. They then sort and deliver this food to almost 1000 front-line charities, primary schools and holiday programmes providing healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in our society. In 2023 the Felix Project rescued 13,394 tonnes of food and redistributed the equivalent of 32 million meals to almost 1000 frontline charities. https://thefelixproject.org/

Mind are a mental health charity that are there to make sure no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Even though 1 in 4 people have mental health problems, most of us don’t get the help we need. This has to change. Mind are here to fight for mental health.

Mind provide immediate support through information services, helplines and network of local services across England and Wales. They raise public awareness and promote understanding, so that anyone who experiences a mental health problem doesn’t have to deal with prejudice and discrimination, too. And they make sure that long-term solutions are in place, by campaigning and influencing for real change at all levels. https://www.mind.org.uk/
